Baucore Inbox — Admin Setup Guide
This guide walks admins through enabling and configuring Baucore Inbox — the module that automates email ingestion, data extraction, and intent-driven workflows inside Salesforce.
Baucore Inbox and the other Baucore Agents features can only be used after your org accepts the Baucore Agents agreement. This is required only once per Salesforce org.
1. Grant External Credential Access
Each user who will work with Baucore Inbox needs the correct set of permissions.
- Navigate to Setup → Permission Sets → Baucore Inbox.
- Assign the Baucore Inbox permission set to every user who should access the Inbox app or process emails.
2. Create and configure the Email Service
- Go to Baucore Setup App → Baucore Agents → General.
- Select the handler class
Inbox_EmailService_Handler. - Click Create Email Service.
- Copy the generated email address and share it with the relevant project or sales teams for inbound communication.
Emails sent to this address are automatically processed by the Inbox workflow.
3. Configure Intent → Flow mappings
- Open Baucore Setup App → Baucore Inbox → Intent to Flow Mapping.
- For each intent (for example RFQ, Product Information, Meeting, General Inquiry), select the Salesforce Flow that should run automatically when that intent is identified.
The list of Intent and Flow mapping values is based on the picklist options available on the Intent field on the Baucore Inbox object. To add or change a value, update the picklist — but clear or update any existing Intent Mapping entries first, since removing or renaming a picklist value out from under a mapping leaves it pointing at nothing. See Considerations about Baucore Inbox for more on keeping these in sync.
4. Set up Field Mapping
- Navigate to Baucore Setup App → Baucore Inbox → Field Mapping.
- Map the extracted email fields (sender, subject, address, and so on) to Salesforce targets such as Project, Lead, Account, or Contact.
