V1 - Single Opportunity for each Project

This article describes Baucore’s original Opportunity Management architecture — V1, where each Project has a single, linked Opportunity. If you’re setting up Opportunity Management for the first time, use V2 — Multiple Opportunities for each Project instead; V1 is documented here for orgs still running it.

Once the Opportunity2Project Sync Service (see Set Up Baucore Opportunity Sync Service) is activated, every time an Opportunity is created, a Project record is automatically created in the background. Updates on the relevant Opportunity fields are replicated on the corresponding Project record.

The Project record linked to the Opportunity is the source for all information shown on the Baucore Lightning components on the Opportunity Lightning Record Page.
