Setup Product and Product Hierarchy
The Baucore Product object (Product__c) is used across several features — most notably Spec Text, where it drives the product selection tree a Sales Rep uses to choose what to include in a specification email. Products can be organized as a hierarchy, with parent and child products, and that same hierarchy is what renders as a tree in the Spec Text selector.
Create a Product
- Open the Baucore Admin App from the App Launcher.
- Select the Products tab.
- Press New.

Adding a Product Translation
Both the Product Name and Description can be translated per language. The translated values are what’s shown in the product tree during the Send Spec Text process, when a Sales Rep selects a language other than the org default.
- Open a Product record.
- On the Product Translations related list, click New.
- Select the Language, and enter the translated Product Translation Name and Description.
If no translation exists for a requested language, Spec Text automatically falls back to the org’s configured default language (SpecInquiryLang) for both the product name/description and the underlying spec text.
