Set Up Project Lead for Salesforce Lead Process
A Project Lead can be created automatically from a Contact record. Incoming Leads must first be converted to an Account and Contact before the automatic Project Lead creation process can run.
Settings that control automatic creation
The automatic creation process only runs for Contact records where the Create project lead field is set to true — this field defaults to false. Your administrator can set up automation (a Flow, for example) to set this field to true based on whatever condition fits your business, such as: as soon as Project Name and Role are filled in or updated on the Contact, set Create project lead to true. That triggers Project Lead creation every time a new Project Name and/or Role is entered on the Contact.
By default, the created Project Lead takes its Project Name from the Contact’s Project Name field, and creates the Contact and its Account as a Participant with the Role defined in the Contact’s Role field.
Mapping additional fields
If you need more fields copied automatically from the Contact to the Project Lead, your administrator can define the mapping in Custom Metadata Types > BauCore Contact Mapping — each mapping record pairs a Contact field with the Project Lead (or Participant) field it should populate.
