Customizing Project Decision component

Taskadmin

You can customize various parameters of the Project Decision component from the Project Decision section of the Setup page: go to Baucore Admin App > Setup page > Project Decision.

Each panel is configured with:

  • Fields — the fields to display in that panel.
  • Filter Field — the boolean field on the Participant record used to classify a record into this panel.
  • Label — the title shown for the panel.
  • Order — the order in which panels are shown in the component.
  • Primary Participant Role — the Role assigned to a new Participant created via the panel’s New button.

If you added fields to the component in a previous Baucore version, note that changes to the underlying FlexiPage are no longer considered — you’ll need to re-add those fields through this Setup page.

Adding a custom panel for a new role

You can add an entirely new list-view panel for a role your business tracks that doesn’t map to Producer, Dealer, or Processor — for example, “Heating Engineer”.

  1. Create a checkbox field on the Participant object to act as the filter field for the new role (e.g., Is_Heating_Engineer__c), defaulted to false.
  2. Go to the Participant Role Setting section on the Setup page and assign the relevant picklist values to the new role. Make sure Enable Auto Role Assignment is active, so the checkbox is set automatically whenever one of those picklist values is chosen.
  3. In the Project Decision section of the Setup page, find the new Custom List View entry and set Inactive to false, using the Filter Field you created in step 1.

After these steps, the new panel appears in the Project Decision component.

Controlling visibility and inline editing

Whether the New button and inline row editing are available follows this logic:

  • If New is available, inline editing is always available.
  • If New is not available, inline editing can be toggled on or off independently.

Customizing the lookup display

You can also control what’s shown beneath the primary result in a lookup field. The first non-blank field from the object’s field set is what displays — the field set name must match the object’s name (for example, the field set for ibsbaucore__Bauobjekt__c should be named Bauobjekt; for Account, Account).

A couple of notes: a field named “Name” is skipped automatically, and you should avoid displaying an indirect value — for example, show an Account Owner’s Id rather than their Name.
