BC SpecifiQ Admin Guide
BC SpecifiQ is configured through two main areas: the BC SpecifiQ Lightning component on the target Lightning page, and Baucore Setup → Baucore Agents → SpecifiQ.
Lightning page configuration
When placing BC SpecifiQ on a record page, configure these properties:
| Property | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Document Id Field | Stores the SpecifiQ document ID returned after extraction. |
| Flow API Name | Should point to BC_Specifiq_Converter. |
| Enable Project Quote / Enable Quote / Enable BOQ | Controls which target record types are available to users. |
| Iframe Height | Controls the visible height of the embedded SpecifiQ frame. |
General settings in Baucore Setup
Open Baucore Setup → Baucore Agents → SpecifiQ. The General tab contains the main runtime settings.
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| Product Code Matching Field – Standard Product | Field on Product2 used for BOQ and Quote matching. |
| Product Code Matching Field – BC Product | Field on ibsbaucore__Product__c used for Project Quote matching. |
| Skip BOQ Lines Without Selected Products | Controls whether unmatched BOQ rows are skipped. |
| Skip Project Quote Groups Without Selected Products | Controls whether unmatched Project Quote positions are skipped. |
| Disable Project Quote Grouping | Controls whether Project Quote Positions are grouped or created directly under the Project Quote. |
| Quote Author Roles | Defines the participant roles treated as quote-author roles. |
| Project is always Required For Inquiry | Blocks Inquiry users from continuing until a Project is linked. |
| Quote Project Field | Field on Quote used to store the related Project reference. |
| Default Standard Pricebook / Default Custom Pricebook | Control the default pricebook sources used during conversion. |
SpecifiQ Mapping
The SpecifiQ Mapping tab controls how extracted values are copied into Salesforce fields. Review mappings for parent records such as BOQ, Project Quote, and Quote, and for child records such as BOQ Calculation, Project Quote Position, Project Quote Group, and Quote Line Item.
Pricebook behavior
- Quote uses the standard Salesforce pricebook field.
- BOQ uses the Baucore BOQ pricebook field.
- Project Quote can use either standard or custom pricebook behavior depending on metadata settings.
If users report missing products or incomplete child creation, first validate the configured product-code matching field, the selected default pricebook, and whether the expected products exist in that pricebook.
Inquiry-specific behavior
When BC SpecifiQ is placed on Inquiry, the extracted-card stage appears first, a newly created Project can be written back to the Inquiry immediately, and the flow can derive participant choices from the linked Project.
