Manage Project Quote

This guide covers using the Baucore Project Quote feature in Salesforce to create, manage, and edit quotes — using either standard Salesforce objects or Baucore-specific objects, depending on your setup.

Baucore Process flag

Which process is used is determined by the Baucore Process flag on the Project Quote:

  • If checked, the Baucore Process is used.
  • If unchecked, the Standard Process is used.

Adding products to the quote

  1. On the component, select Add.
  2. Products shown for selection match the defined Pricebook or BC Pricebook.
  3. Products shown correspond to either Product2 or ibsbaucore__Product__c, depending on the chosen process.

If more than 100 records are available, only the 100 most recently viewed records are shown initially. All other available products remain searchable.

Managing selected products

  • Selected products move to the top of the list.
  • Filtering options are available to help manage the selection.
  • After selecting products, move to the next screen to add quantities.
  • You can return to the previous screen without losing data by clicking Add More Products.

Saving the quote

When you press save, any issues with records appear under the status column. You can only save once every line shows a green checkmark — all issues must be resolved before the records can be inserted.

Editing the quote

  • Click the edit button to edit the quote. During editing, you can also delete records.
  • Clicking Send Email opens a screen to send emails. If a PDF has been generated, it can be attached to the email.

Important fields on Project Quote

ibsbaucore__Price_Book__cThe price book used to show the product selection on Project Quote Position, and to copy relevant fields such as Price to the Project Quote Position.
ibsbaucore__Template__cThe template used together with the Language to create the corresponding PDF document.
ibsbaucore__Total_Net_Amount__cThe sum of the Net Total of every Project Quote Position record that isn’t Optional.
