Baucore ships 3 record types for Project Lead, to optimize the experience at each stage of its lifecycle.
| Record Type | Description |

| New | Used only when creating a new Project Lead. This is the only record type activated in the Baucore permission set, so users shouldn’t choose any other record type when creating one. Its goal is to present a different layout on creation — one that also shows the Role and Contact fields, so the Participant is created automatically alongside the Project Lead. After the Project Lead is saved, its record type automatically changes to Edit. |
| Edit | The default record type used for working with an existing Project Lead. |
| convert | Used to hide information that’s no longer relevant on a Project Lead that has already been converted — such as the Convert button. |
